Lottomatica, the Italian gaming market leader, agrees with Nuvei Corporation on the exclusive supply of payment technology for its digital ventures.

Lottomatica S.p.A, an affiliate of Gamanet – the first authorized gaming group in Italy and one of the major European gaming market players – announced that it will exclusively source the payment technology from Nuvei Corporation, a Canadian payment technology provider and a registered Canadian Branch of the U.S. Bank National Association offering customers an integrated gaming and payment solution.

Revenue increase demands technological upgrades:

This move comes after the gaming operator’s recent 345 percent revenue increase. Lottomatica concluded the first half of 2022 with revenue from sports betting, online games, slot machines, and other operations reaching €806.2 m. Alessandro Fiumara, Lottomatica Managing Director Betting and Digital Italy is optimistic about the new partnership.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Nuvei to provide our players with the payments experience we know they demand. Payments are fundamental to delivering a superior product in iGaming, which is why they are key to winning and retaining players and maximizing revenue,’’ said Fiumara.

Complete payment solution:

Nuvei will now enable Lottomatica to offer new deposit and withdrawal services to its customers using the Nuvei integrated cashier technology. This design includes smart transactions and higher card acceptance rates. Lottomatica players are now enabled to take advantage of alternative payment methods using the same payment platform.

“Lottomatica is one of the premier iGaming brands in the regulated Italian gaming market. We’re pleased to be offering a complete payments solution to support the growth of another leading European iGaming operator,’’ said Philip Fayer, Nuvei Chair and CEO.

Fully equipped for new ventures:

In April, Lottomatica entered an agreement with reputable sports betting solutions provider, Elys Game Technology, for the development of a new gaming platform to offer its players an enhanced gaming experience. After the 345 percent revenue increase as of end June 2022, Lottomatica’s latest partnership with Nuvei seems to wind up the company’s strategy. In fact, Lottomatica has sourced up-to-date technology and state-of-the-art payment solutions this year to render a higher level of customer experience and satisfaction and secure the company’s further growth and the retainment of its lucrative market position.
