Following the conclusion of a thorough review into its business and iGaming operator Mansion Group has reportedly announced that it is to close down its United Kingdom-facing sportsbetting domain at MansionBet.com from the end of the month.

According to a source, the Gibraltar-based firm revealed that the move will allow it to better concentrate on a core online casino business that includes the sites at MansionCasino.com, SlotsHeaven.com and Casino.com. The operator has over 18 years of experience in the global iGaming scene and also purportedly explained that its decision followed a comprehensive evaluation of the changing regulations impacting the British sportsbetting market.

Decisive deadlines:

Christian Block serves as the Chief Executive Officer for United Kingdom and Gibraltar-licensed Mansion Group and he reportedly disclosed that the decision to close MansionBet.com came ‘after careful deliberation’ and is destined to have no effect on its trio of online casino brands. The boss purportedly went on to note that it intends to honor all wagers made on the sportsbetting site until April 28 although it is asking punters to withdraw their balances by the conclusion of March.

Reportedly read a statement from Block…

The commercial decision was a difficult one but it does provide opportunity to focus on our casino brands where we have a long history of excelling. To minimize impact on consumers, we have ensured our customers’ future winnings continue to be paid out and stakes will be returned regardless of outcome. Finally, I would like to thank all our colleagues and partners for building the sportsbook brand and our loyal customers for their support throughout.”

Sponsorship surrender:

The closure of MansionBet.com will reportedly come as a blow to Bristol City Football Club as the online sportsbetting domain has served as the Championship soccer side’s kit sponsor since August of 2020 and only extended the alliance for another season last June. The English team used an official Monday press release to thank Mansion Group ‘for its support over the last two seasons’ and disclose that it will continue to display the sports wagering site’s logo on the front of its first team shirts until the end of the current domestic football season on May 7.

Assorted affiliations:

MansionBet.com had earlier enjoyed similar sponsorship arrangements with English soccer sides Millwall, Tottenham Hotspur, AFC Bournemouth and Crystal Palace while serving as the official betting partner of Premier League giants Newcastle United and Manchester City. The domain furthermore last year enhanced its marketing alliance with Sky Sports Racing to include all United States-based racing being broadcast by the media network.
