Marina Bay Sands, the renowned casino resort in Singapore, is poised to elevate its luxury gaming experience by introducing VIP gaming facilities on the 53rd and 54th floors of Tower 2. Slated to launch by September 2024, this initiative marks a significant enhancement in the resort’s prestigious offerings, confirmed by a resort spokesperson in a recent dialogue with GGRAsia.
Introduction of Paiza Sky Palace:
The new gaming operations will be christened Paiza Sky Palace, reflecting the high-end luxury that the Paiza brand signifies among the elite gambling community, especially those familiar with its presence in Macau through Sands China Ltd. This exclusive segment of the casino will consist primarily of private gaming salons, meticulously designed to cater to the discerning tastes of VIP patrons who demand privacy and the highest standard of service.
In launching these new levels, Marina Bay Sands emphasizes its commitment to operating within the stringent regulatory framework established for gaming in Singapore. The introduction of tower gaming will include all necessary casino safeguards to ensure compliance and safety. This careful attention to regulation and ethical gaming underscores the resort’s dedication to maintaining a secure and responsible gaming environment.
As part of an extensive refurbishment program, Marina Bay Sands has been undergoing significant upgrades across its property. Patrick Dumont, Group President and COO of Las Vegas Sands highlighted in the company’s first-quarter earnings call that Towers 1 and 2 have already been fully renovated.
As GGRAsia reports, he said: “While we have substantially completed the original US$1 billion capital expenditure programme, we are still in initial stages of realising the benefits of these new products.”
Future expansion plans:
Beyond the immediate upgrades, Marina Bay Sands has embarked on an ambitious expansion project that involves a hefty investment of at least SGD4.5 billion (about US$3.3 billion). This project includes the construction of a fourth hotel tower, which will add 587 rooms to the resort’s capacity. The construction for this expansion is scheduled to commence in July 2025, with a targeted completion by July 2029. This expansion not only underscores the resort’s growth trajectory but also its commitment to bolstering Singapore’s position as a top global destination for tourism and luxury gaming.
Marina Bay Sands continues to be a cornerstone of Singapore’s casino industry, which operates under a tightly controlled duopoly. Alongside Resorts World Sentosa, promoted by Genting Singapore Ltd, Marina Bay Sands plays a critical role in shaping the landscape of gaming and hospitality in the region. The introduction of the Paiza Sky Palace is anticipated to set a new benchmark in luxury casino offerings, further solidifying Marina Bay Sands’ reputation as a leader in the international casino and resort market.
