Mr Green, a Malta-based online casino and sportsbook, has appointed Mattias Wedar as its new chief executive of Mr Green & Technology, the company’s development subsidiary.

The Stockholm-listed gaming operator will see Wedar assume the chief executive role in September. Wedar replaces Stefan Gustafsson, who has on an interim basis held the position since former CEO Niclas Enhörning departed in December last year.

Among a number of positions, Wedar previously worked as chief executive officer and chief information officer for Sweden and Finland at Swedish search portal Eniro.

Per Norman, chief executive for Mr Green said the company was happy with the appointment and that Wedar “has a solid background in the digital industry and a thorough experience from technology development as well as marketing and products,” according to the press release.

Norman went on to say that Wedar will be a key part of the company’s further implementation of its business strategy, Mr Green 2.0, as well as the continued development of its technology platform which was launched in 2016. “Our strategy encompasses a clear plan to develop an even stronger customer experience, based on digital technology and our customers’ individual preferences,” Norman explained.
