In Oklahoma, the federally-recognized Chickasaw Nation has completed the remodeling of its Chisholm Trail Casino and the tribe is now celebrating its facility’s new look by holding a month-long series of special promotions.
According to a report from The Duncan Banner newspaper, the casino in the city of Duncan some 81 miles south of Oklahoma City began changing its look in February with its previous western facade being replaced with a more modern-looking frontage.
“It was a fun process to watch unfold,” Tera Williams, General Manager for the Chisholm Trail Casino, told the newspaper. “The new facade gives the casino a fresh [and] modern look. We also changed the casino’s logo from a longhorn to a wagon wheel. That change is reflected on the signage in the parking lot and throughout the facility.”
Williams stated that the facelift for the Stephens County casino also included upgrades to the site’s bathrooms, drink stations and Rustic Trail Gift Shop while a remodeled foyer now offers a new desk for staff to greet visitors.
“The players’ club desk is a beautiful focal point located at the casino entrance,” Williams told local television broadcaster KSWO-TV. “It’s open and welcoming, a perfect way to greet our patrons and give them a more enjoyable gaming experience. That really was one of the driving ideas behind these renovations; to provide an even better atmosphere and experience for our loyal patrons.”
This is the second time the casino opened in 2004 has undergone a facelift with the first some four years ago involving the facility’s Aces Sports Grill restaurant and bar. The most recent has moreover seen new carpeting for the venue’s 22,000 sq ft gaming floor alongside a fresh coat of paint and upgraded lighting.
“We [have] kept all 580 electronic games, updating some and introducing some new titles to give our patrons a better variety,” Williams told KSWO-TV. “We also remodeled the cashier cage and constructed a high-limits area.”
To mark its new look, the Chisholm Trail Casino is planning to give away prizes totaling $100,000 between now and the end of the month with the largest portion of these worth up to $48,000 set to be handed out from noon to midnight on October 29 and due to include several new big-screen televisions as well as a new Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab vehicle.
