Musburger Media has announced its acquisition of the Vegas Stats & Information Network (VSiN) from DraftKings Inc. This development marks a significant return for VSiN, the sports betting network originally founded by Brian Musburger and Bill Adee. Both Musburger and Adee, who were instrumental in the initial launch and growth of VSiN, will now lead the network into its next chapter.

Musburger Media reacquires VSiN, resuming control:

As the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports, Brian Musburger shared his enthusiasm about the transition, stating, “While a lot has changed in the sports betting industry over the past three-and-a-half years, our original vision for VSiN still holds and we are committed to delivering the most credible, independent information and analysis sports bettors can find anywhere.” He also expressed gratitude towards DraftKings, noting, “We truly appreciate the work we’ve done with DraftKings and look forward to continuing to collaborate on future projects. Bill and I couldn’t be more excited about leading VSiN into the future and cementing our position as a trusted authority in sports betting.”

The transition of ownership is set to be seamless, with no interruptions anticipated in VSiN’s programming or news coverage. VSiN will maintain its commitment to providing over 18 hours of unique sports betting content daily. The network will continue to offer its extensive coverage across multiple platforms, including YouTube TV, Rogers’ Sportsnet, NESN, AT&T Pittsburgh, Marquee Sports Network, and a dedicated channel on iHeartRadio and TuneIn. Additionally, VSiN’s content remains available through more than 300 terrestrial radio stations and its expanding range of podcasts.

VSiN is known for delivering timely sports betting insights and analysis, catering to both seasoned bettors and newcomers to the sports betting scene. The network covers a wide array of sports, including college and pro football, basketball, hockey, baseball, golf, and tennis, providing unique perspectives from some of the industry’s most knowledgeable experts and personalities.

DraftKings optimizes media investments:

Stephanie Sherman, Chief Marketing Officer at DraftKings, commented on the sale, saying in VSiN’s press release, “DraftKings continues to optimize its investments in content and media to align with the most critical areas and needs of our business strategy, objectives, and goals.” She added, “We want to thank Brian, Bill, and the entire team at VSiN for a great relationship, and we look forward to continuing to advertise on the network.”

The acquisition by Musburger Media returns VSiN to its roots. DraftKings had purchased VSiN from Musburger Media in 2021 for a reported $70 million. The deal reestablishes the network under the leadership of its founders, who are now poised to drive VSiN’s future growth and development.

VSiN’s studio remains situated inside the sportsbook at Circa casino-hotel in downtown Las Vegas, having previously been located at South Point Casino Hotel. The network had also operated a satellite studio on the East Coast at Atlantic City’s Ocean Casino Hotel. Despite the change in ownership, VSiN’s core mission of providing reliable and in-depth sports betting coverage continues unabated.
