Swedish online casino games developer, NetEnt, has provided the perfect start to the holiday season for one lucky player in the United Kingdom after landing a €7,205,687.82 jackpot, the second big win on the software provider’s Hall of Gods video slot game in the last six months.

The inviting jackpot was what drew the winner, Neil from Aberdeen, Scotland, to play the desktop version of the mythology-themed game, Hall of Gods, on Casumo Casino where the multi-million euro prize was claimed.

Hall of Gods is a 5-reel Triple Jackpot video slot which is part of NetEnt’s jackpot network, where players get up close and personal with Norse mythology when they meet Odin’s ravens on the scatter symbol and the Midgard Serpent in the expanding wild.

NetEnt offers the industry’s largest global online jackpots.

In June, a Norwegian player landed €7,525,932.97 while playing Hall of Gods. It was the first of what are now two mega jackpots in six months. The June jackpot was the second jackpot to surpass the €7m mark within a six-month time frame, with another lucky gamer landing €7,437,199.55 while playing NetEnt’s Mega Fortune Dreams in December of last year.

Commenting on the exciting win, NetEnt CPO, Henrik Fagerlund, said: “It’s so pleasing for us that one of our games has hopefully made someone very happy this holiday season. “Hall of Gods has proven to be a favourite amongst NetEnt fans and has now claimed its second jackpot winner in the space of six months, we hope our popular jackpot games will continue to reward players with excitement and large pay-outs,” according to the press release.

In addition to Hall of Gods, players will also find pooled jackpots from NetEnt on Mega Fortune and Arabian Nights. In January 2013, Mega Fortune set a Guinness World Records for what was a record-breaking €17.86 million payout on an online slot machine.
