Top global event producing company specializing in gaming conferences and exhibitions, Eventus International, has announced a rebrand of a gaming conference for the region of India, with the newest edition to take place in February 2019. After seeing great success with the Sports Betting & Gaming India (SBGI) summit last February in Goa, Eventus has decided to re-brand the event to the Strategic Platform for iGaming Conference & Exhibition (SPICE), with the conference set to run on February 26th and 27th in 2019.
The conference will once again take place in Goa, during a time when gambling is very restricted. Discussions have been ongoing as to the need for reform within the gambling industry, along with the need for regulations, with the conference to be hosted just before the national general elections in April/May, hoping to keep the ball rolling on deliberations before policy makers.
During the two-day conference, there will be discussions taking place involving how properly defined legalized gambling will impact the region as well as what opportunities would become available. Presentations on the schedule will discuss opportunities for investment within land-based gaming venues as well as in online skill gaming.
Additional topics will be included in presentations during SPICE, such as discussions involving structuring of gaming businesses and foreign investments, player protections, responsible gaming, benefits of legalized gambling in the financial category as well as the socio-economic impact.
Commenting on the new event, Eventus International Managing Director, Says Yudi Soetjiptadi, commented in a press release: “After the successful SBGI summit and exhibition last year, we hope to continue the dialogue with SPICE, which we hope will be received as a constructive initiative, presenting an opportunity to both the Indian government and regulator and the gambling and gaming industry.”
