A new digital lottery experience is now available in Ohio with the release of the Lottery Card by Linq3 and the Blackhawk Network. The new mobile-enabled option is available in grocery and retail outlets, such as Giant Eagle, Buehler’s Fresh Foods and Kroger, providing players with a new way to enjoy Mega Millions and Powerball gaming.

Ohio is one of the first states to offer the Lottery Card, which is a digital option allowing players to enter the draw games from their mobile device. Adults who are 18 years of age or older can purchase the cards, found on gift card racks and checkout lanes of available retailers.

The Lottery Card is a digital way for players to enjoy the lottery via gift card. The card can be used by the purchaser or given as a gift. The cards allow for game play on Mega Millions and the Powerball, with a purchase price of just $10 for five plays and ten plays for $20. Consumers who purchase the Lottery Card, players will pay for the cost of the card they choose, plus $0.89 which is the cost for Mobile Play Benefits.
To play with the Lottery Card, consumers need to purchase a card. To enter a drawing, players will need to text in the unique code on the Lottery Card to a specific number. The player inputs their name and location to finish up the card enrollment, which is done just one time.
A message will then be sent with the quick pick numbers, along with the draw date and additional information of the transaction. Winners will then be notified with a picture and text message with most winnings paid via PayPal. Once enrolled, players can play as many times as they like with the Lottery Card, reloading it via the checkout at the accepted retailers.
