The revenue reports for April have been released in New Jersey, showing that online gambling continues to thrive in the state. For April, revenues from online gaming increased yet again, while the monthly casino win saw an increase for the first time this year when comparing the same month in 2017. Online gaming revenues for casinos in Atlantic City came in at $23 million in April, an increase of 10.6% when compared to the $20.8 million earned in April 2017.

According to the reports (pdf) provided by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the industry was able to generate $191.4 million in revenues from table games and slots in April, which is just above the $190.9 million earned in April last year. The total gaming win for April came in at $214.4 million, which is a 1.3% increase from the same time frame in 2017.

The highest grossing property for the month was the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, which earned $57.7 million. While the casino was on top for the month, they actually saw a decrease of 7.9% from April 2017. The largest percentage increase for the month was earned by Resorts Casino Hotel, at 23.3%. Resorts earned $17.2 million in April, much more than the $13.9 million earned the same month last year.

Casino revenues for New Jersey are down by 6.1% when looking at year-to-date totals. So far, the state’s casinos have earned $716.7 million. This far less than the $763.5 million earned by this time in 2017. While the casino revenues are down, online gaming continues to soar. Year-to-date totals come in at $92.6 million, which is an increase of 15.5%.
