The Parisian Macao is currently under construction in Cotai and once finished, will be in need of employees to fill a variety of positions. Sands China Ltd has now announced they have hired over 600 individuals to fill open positions of the resort. The announcement was made late last week after a recruitment fair took place for the locals of Macau.

In a press release, Sands China stated that as the number of locals in attendance was higher than the company had expected, the event was extended for an additional day to interview walk-in candidates who came during the first two days of the recruitment fair. At the three day fair, over 600 contracts were signed on the spot.

Sands China Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Antonio Ramirez, stated that Sands China is pleased over the turnout for the fair for the Parisian Macao. Over 95% of the employment positions that were available during the fair were for non-gaming positions. Despite this number, gaming positions are the most popular with the Macau locals, and many came to the fair in search of a gaming employment opening.

A second recruitment fair is expected to take place in June. Once the $2.7 billion venue is completed, there will be a total of 3,000 hotel rooms, a casino, retail space, meeting space, themed water park and theatre.
