In Pennsylvania, one gaming service provider and three casinos had fines levied against them by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), when at the Wednesday meeting of consent agreements between the recipients of the fines and the PGCB’s Office of Enforcement Counsel, the Board approved the fines.

For Self-Exclusion List violations, a fine of $30,000 was levied against Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, Inc., operator of the Parx Casino in Bucks County. According to the report, despite being on the PGCB’s Self-Exclusion List, in three incidents, individuals reportedly accessed the gaming floor at Parx Casino and received cash advances and took part in gaming activities. Self-excluded individuals must be refused wagers, denied gaming privileges, cash advances and check cashing privileges by licensed facilities. In each of the three instances, the patron was reportedly allowed by Parx to access the gaming floor, receive cash advances and engage in gaming activity.

A fine of $15,000 was issued to the operator of Presque Isle Downs & Casino in Erie County, Presque Isle Downs, Inc., for reportedly allowing three employees to work while their gaming credentials issued by PGCB were expired.

Rhode Island-based CB POC, LLC was the recipient of a fine of $10, 000 for reportedly failing to file the required gaming service provider applications so that it could be properly authorized to operate restaurants at the Mohegan Sun Pocono facility in Wilkes-Barre. According to the report, the company has since obtained proper authorization from the PGCB.

The fourth and final fine was levied against Washington Trotting Association, Inc., the operator of The Meadows Casino in Washington County, which was issued a $7,500 fine when a 20-year-old male accessed the gaming floor at The Meadows and was caught while trying to play table games.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 10am.
