The Poker Room of the Palm Beach Kennel Club hosted the Card Player Poker Tour as 2019 came to an end, with a five event sires running from December 26th to the 31st. Quality poker action took place at the felt, including an amazing eight player chop during one tournament of the series.

Big Chop:

The $60,000 guaranteed event of the Card Player Poker Tour series had a $230 buy-in and saw an amazing 548 players competing. The guarantee was easily surpassed and the competition was fierce. In the end, the final eight players of the tournament would decide on a chop, with the remaining prize pool cut into segments based on an independent chip model.

In the end, it was Diego Lezcano who claimed the top payout of $11,225. He also won Player of the Series award for his gameplay. The award gave him an extra $2,000 in prize money.

The series included several events with a variety of formats including pot-limit Omaha eight-or-better event, a turbo event and six-max bounty. Event #1 of the series was a $10,000 GTD No-Limit Hold’em event with a buy-in of $125. Event #2 was the $60,000 buy-in while Event #3 was an $8,000 GTD Pot-Limit Omaha 8/ob affair.

Event #4 was a $5,000 GTD poker tournament with a No-Limit Hold’em Six Max Bounty format. The final event was a No Limit Hold’em Turbo option with a buy-in of $125.
