British sportsbetting software and trading services firm, Amelco UK Limited, has announced that it is now able to enter the newly-regulated iGaming market of Pennsylvania after being granted a conditional sports wagering manufacturer license.

The London-headquartered innovator used an official September 4th press release published by European Gaming Media and Events to detail that the authorization from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board now allows it to offer its range of enterprise sportsbetting and trading platforms to online sportsbook operators in ‘The Keystone State.’

PASPA progress:

Pennsylvania is one of only ten American states to have legalized some form of sportsbetting following last year’s invalidation by the United States Supreme Court of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA). This controversial piece of legislation had previously largely limited sports wagering to casinos in Nevada while Amelco UK Limited stated that the recent authorization represented its ‘landmark entrance’ into the United States’ nascent iGaming market.

Expected expansion:

Paul Manning, Chief Executive Officer for Amelco UK, used the press release to declare that his firm has ‘more than a decade of experience in supplying tailored software solutions’ and is currently partnering with ‘various United States test agencies’ in hopes of securing similar certifications so as to be able to take advantage of the popularity of wagering on a plethora of sports including the National Football League (NFL).
