Two weeks after launching its skateboarding-themed Nyjah Huston: Skate for Gold video slot and Swedish online casino games developer Play’n GO has now returned to announce the premiere of its new eight-reel Gold Volcano innovation.
The Vaxjo-headquartered innovator used an official Thursday press release to declare that the grid-pattern for its latest video slot is shaped like a mountainous volcano so as to provide iGaming aficionados with ‘another inventive twist on the cascading grid-slot formula’ with which it has previously experienced success.
Play’n GO is aiming to release 52 fresh titles this calendar year and stated that it has recently been placing ‘a firm link’ between the themes of its games and the nature of their gameplay. For Gold Volcano and the developer pronounced that this revised relationship is reflected by ‘the fact that the symbols cascade upwards from the bottom of the volcano’ so as to seem as if they are ‘bubbling up in the lava’.
Established in 1997, Play’n GO explained that Gold Volcano also comes complete with a pair of special features based around the concept of rising lava that encompasses a free spins bonus round that sees the title’s colorful screen transformed into a massive eight-by-eight grid pattern.
Martin Zettergren, Chief Product Officer for Play’n GO, used the press release to proclaim that the mobile-friendly Gold Volcano ‘looks set to be another jewel in the crown’ of his firm’s slot portfolio and moreover boosts its excitement via the inclusion of ‘random base game features’ that have been designed to mirror ‘the unpredictability of a volcano’.

“As with other titles like Nyjah Huston: Skate for Gold and Rally 4 Riches, we aim not only to visit some lesser-explored themes but also to bring a new dimension to them in order to provide new experiences to audiences. Part of that is by creating titles that tell a story not just in theme and description but also right the way through to features and gameplay. The result is exciting new titles like Gold Volcano.”
