Gaming specialist and leading mobile casino gaming developer, Play’n GO, has won the distinguished Diversity Award at the 2017 Women in Gaming Awards (WIGs).
Play’n GO personnel were on hand to receive the award at the ceremony which took place on May 12 at the Savoy Hotel, London. The slots supplier also received four other nominations including those for individual awards for Leader iGaming and Employee of the Year as well as Team of the Year for Play’n GO’s Account Management Team and Best Place to Work.
The Växjö, Sweden-headquartered company’s commitment to diversity impressed the judging panel. Currently, 46 percent of the supplier’s management positions are occupied by women and employees are rewarded based solely on their decision making ability and success, as opposed to other factors.
Johan Törnqvist, Chief Executive Officer at Play’n GO, reportedly said, “This award is testament to all of our employees at Play’n GO who have helped make our working environment conducive to creativity and innovative thinking.” The CEO added, “Our truly diverse team has helped create a dynamic working environment which will ensure we remain at the forefront of the gaming industry for the foreseeable future,” according to the press release.
Founded in 2010, the WIGs highlight the considerable contributions made by female employees to the gaming industry and their businesses and has an eye on its 9th edition next year as it continues to do so.
Play’n GO looks forward to further success at the WIGs in the future as they grow their burgeoning team within their existing offices in Sweden, Malta, Hungary, and the UK including their newest London site.
The supplier’s games are designed for multi-device consumption on websites, smartphones, terminals, and tablets. The company combines the latest technology with extensive experience to create products that are contemporary, highly flexible, and complete. Play’n GO’s extensive portfolio was also recently recognized and awarded the prestigious International Gaming Awards (IGA) 2017 Slot Provider of the Year.
