Teddy Sagi is the biggest shareholder of Playtech, the casino software provider. He owns over 33 percent of the shares. He has also just made a deal for Playtech to buy TradeFX. The interesting bit to this sale is that Teddy Sagi has ownership in TradeFX. This means PlayTech is essentially purchasing a company owned by the owner of Playtech. It’s a bit of a confusing deal when you consider this, but it is not the first time the company Playtech has bought companies that Sagi owns. They also purchased Skywind which Mr. Sagi owns, as well as shares in or other companies outright.
The purchase of TradeFX does have some specifics to it such as the further payment of €250 million if the company hits 2017 targets. This is in addition to the €208 million that will be paid to purchase TradeFX in 2015. TradeFX is a trading platform and payment services provider, perhaps best known for their markets.com brand.
