The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino of Hollywood, Florida announced on Monday that they are making changes to their poker gaming offerings.

The ballroom of the property will become the new home to the poker room, with 40 cash game tables on offer. The poker room was closed yesterday and remained closed on Wednesday as the casino continues with the transition to the new space.

The Florida casino has used the ballroom in the past to host major poker events and apparently now feels that this space will be better suited as the permanent poker room. The casino plans on reopening the poker room on June 1st and has stated that the move will give players easy access to gaming. The new area will be more convenient as it will be located closer to the Seminole Way parking garage.

The casino has stated that the poker room move is being completed as part of an ongoing expansion of the gaming property. The changes set to come including a new nightclub and dining area. The Miami Herald has reported that the poker room was last relocated at the venue back in 2008 when the casino began to offer blackjack casino gaming thanks to a new state compact.
