Pragmatic Play has made significant strides in the wider LatAm region that has become such a crucial part of its growth strategy, having inked a series of recent commercials deals with leading operators such as CtrPixBet, and Aposta.LA., which SysGaming CEO Ribeiro also holds the position of Director.
Floating Dragon Sequel
The announcement of the multi-product agreement comes at the same time as the launch of Floating Dragon Megaways Hold & Spin, the supercharged sequel to Pragmatic Play and partner studio Reel Kingdom’s Floating Dragon Hold & Spin released in April 2021.
The Asian-themed upgrade incorporates Australian developer Big Time Gaming’s (BTG) in-demand Megaways mechanic and increases the 5×3 panel of the original to a huge 6×6 grid with up to 236,196 winning ways. Highly volatile, the video slot has a 96.70 percent RTP with bets ranging from 20 p/c to £/€250 per spin, while the max win is 20,000x.
Players will recognize returning symbols including Koi fish, kites, butterflies, peacocks and a ship, along with 10-A card values. The Wild symbol, however, is different and substitutes for all regular symbols but not the Dragon Scatter, Lady or the Coin Money symbol. Wins are awarded by landing matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the far left side and lining up six-of-a-kind pays from 0.5 to 50 times the stake.
The three rows above the game grid move independently from the base game and with each spin can be randomly locked or unlocked. You’ll only find wilds or blanks on the topmost row while the other two upper rows can land any symbol.
Players who land at least three scatters activate the free spins round where the Lady/collection symbol is added to the reels. When the symbol lands -on all rows except for the top-most row- it collects all the values of the fish money symbols. Lady symbols are also collected anytime they hit and when four of them are collected, the feature is retriggered, 10 additional free spins are awarded and a multiplier is created. The latter are applied to the fish money symbol collects.
Likewise, the Hold and Spin round is triggered by landing three or more coins, with a trio of spins awarded for the collection of additional coins and potentially lucrative diamonds. For every coin that lands, the three spins is reset for even more chances to win.
On Par with Original
Commenting on the new version, Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer for Pragmatic Play, said…
“Augmenting one of our most popular titles of 2021 and adding Megaways™, locking and unlocking reels and two bonus rounds has positioned Floating Dragon Megaways™ Hold & Spin™ to be as adored as highly as the original release.”
The CEO goes on to say that not only does the title offer “new exciting features” but is “influenced heavily by its predecessor creating a title that will appeal to both new and existing fans of the franchise.”
A guaranteed hit, the launch follows other successes such as Book of Golden Sands, Crown of Fire and Wild Hop & Drop, each of which can be found among the more than 250 titles in the provider’s fast-growing games portfolio.
