Asian online casino games distributor QTech Games is now reportedly hoping to broaden its appeal after paying an undisclosed amount in order to purchase a controlling stake in Swedish video slot developer Snowborn Games AB.

According to a report from Asia Gaming Brief, QTech Games experienced triple-digit growth last year and began 2018 by signing a number of distribution deals while premiering a series of new tools including its mobile-friendly QT Play application that have been designed to enhance the performance and speed of its games platform.

Asia Gaming Brief reported that this latest agreement means that all new video slots developed by Stockholm-based Snowborn Games AB are to be made available to QTech Games’ clients on an exclusive basis, which will permit these to satisfy a variety of consumer tastes in numerous territories across Asia.

Jonas Alm, Chief Executive Officer for QTech Games, reportedly described his firm’s acquisition of a controlling stake in Snowborn Games AB as ‘the next phase’ in its plan to become ‘the largest provider of digital entertainment in Asia over the next few years’ before stating that he remains ‘very active’ in looking for additional small games developers to add to the ‘developing QTech family’.

“Snowborn Games AB is currently putting the finishing touches to its initial gaming portfolio, which I have no doubt will prove hugely successful,” reportedly read a statement from Alm. “We are delighted to be teaming up with Snowborn Games AB, considering its key-person track record for ingenuity in this arena.”

For his part, Magnus Palmstierna Eckhell, Chief Executive Officer for Snowborn Games AB, reportedly declared that the combination of his firm’s content with the distribution services of QTech Games is set to form ‘a knockout combination’. He purportedly moreover proclaimed that his company’s forthcoming games will serve as ‘a great complement’ to its new partner’s platform and facilitate ‘our growth into untapped markets’.

“We’ve always been intent on employing the best personnel on the planet, not just in the Nordics,” reportedly read a statement from Eckhell. “This partnership with QTech Games is an extension of that mission statement. We now have a majority partner whose distributional scope can facilitate our transition into a world-leading studio, powered by state-of-the-art technology and a team whose passion and dedication are only matched by our own.”
