As it looks to continue its growth while maintaining its position as a leader in the industry, European online gambling affiliate agency RakeTech Limited has announced the hiring of experienced executive Christian Lundberg (pictured) to serve as its new Chairman.

Launched in 2010 and now operating more than 1,500 affiliate sites across Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Spain and the United Kingdom, RakeTech Limited declared that Lundberg has “extensive experience at leading international organizations” including Microsoft where he served as the computer software giant’s Nordics Regional Director.

RakeTech Limited stated that Lundberg was also previously employed as Sweden Chief Operating Officer for energy firm Fortum Corporation and has a reputation of “building successful company cultures that support long-term and profitable growth”.

“With Christian joining we will further sharpen RakeTech Limited’s leadership,” read a statement from Michael Holmberg, Chief Executive Officer for Malta-based RakeTech Limited. “Christian has vast experience in building winning cultures where everyone works towards the same goals and meets market demands with a focus on long-term values and profitability. He joins in an intense period where we, among other activities, have recently acquired several assets in Denmark. In addition, we have just reached our 100th employee from being just some 30 people a year ago. I look forward to working with Christian and the rest of the board to take RakeTech Limited to the next level.”

RakeTech Limited additionally explained that Lundberg has most recently been providing strategic advice to leaders of several public and private firms through his A Force 4U vehicle and will now work to help it to secure “continued high and long-term growth as well as a strengthened leadership [position] in the European affiliate market”.

”RakeTech Limited is a company with high operational capacity and advanced technical solutions [that is] active in the fast-growing European iGaming industry,” read a statement from Lundberg. “I believe RakeTech Limited has real possibilities to drive the continued development of the sector through responsible affiliate services with a focus on user value and consequently secure long-term and sustainable growth. At the same time, we will continue to pursue our active acquisition agenda where we target assets of high quality with leading market positions”.
