On June 24, the Resorts World Las Vegas casino will open, debuting a brand-new payment method for wagering on slots and table games. The newest Strip resort will become the first property in the city where players can use a digital log-in to use cashless wagering for gambling services. Resorts World will utilize GamingPlay, the digital gaming wallet of the property. Genting Rewards members will be able to login to their account without the need for a card, thanks to the new technology.
Load the Digital Wallet and Play
By using GamingPlay, players at Resorts World will be able to pay on-site without the need for cash or a debit card in hand. There are three ways to load the digital wallet for the funds to be used on-site. First, players can choose to use a NEO Kiosk at the property. Players can also use Sightline Play+ or the player services desk to add funds.
With Play+, guests of the Nevada casino can use a PayPal account, debit and credit card, or a bank account to load the wallet of GamingPlay. Funds can then easily be transferred in and out of the wallet. With the Play+ account linked to the wallet; it is much easier to complete transactions. Guests can pay without standing in a line or leaving their seats.
When it comes to the loyalty card, there are three ways to use it on the gaming floor. Players can choose to have the physical card in hand or use it digitally. The slot games also allow players to enter the phone number associated with the account to play.
CEO of Sightline Payments, Joe Pappano, commented on the new digital payment solution in Las Vegas by stating that the cashless option is a tremendous opportunity for Sightline to further the digital transformation of the gaming experience.
“Resorts World Las Vegas will spotlight the impact that payments innovations can have on the integrated casino resort to the entire gaming industry. We are proud to launch the Resorts World Las Vegas Play+ program alongside this historic opening.”
Cryptocurrency Partnership
Back in May, Resorts World Las Vegas announced a partnership with Gemini Trust Company LLC. The new deal will allow the property to provide a crypto wallet to enhance the resort experience. The goal of Resorts World is to become one of the most crypto-friendly resorts on the strip.
Once the option is ready to use, players will be able to use DeFi tokens, Bitcoin, and Ethereum when making purchases at the casino.
