American iGaming operator Rush Street Interactive Incorporated has announced that its BetRivers.com and PlaySugarHouse.com domains have been awarded with the RG Check accreditation from Canada’s non-profit Responsible Gambling Council.

The Chicago-headquartered firm used an official Thursday press release to detail that the three-year endorsement represents a first for such United States-facing online gaming sites and comes only two weeks after it registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario regulator so as to be able to launch into the rapidly expanding iGaming market of Canada’s most populous province from later this month.

Rush Street Interactive Incorporated is a subsidiary of American land-based casino operator Rush Street Gaming and described the RG Check regime from the Responsible Gambling Council ‘as the world’s most comprehensive and rigorous responsible gaming accreditation program.’ The company also asserted that this scheme was developed ‘to meet or exceed all existing responsible gaming regulatory requirements’ with accreditation only being awarded following an extensive review by ‘a prestigious panel of independent responsible gaming specialists.’

The watchdog furthermore commended Rush Street Interactive Incorporated before proclaiming that her group’s RG Check endorsement serves as ‘a clear demonstration that an operator prioritizes and embeds responsible gambling into the core of its operations.’
