Online casino and sportsbetting operator The Coingaming Group has announced the appointment of former William Hill executive Richard Walsh as its new Managing Director.

The Coingaming Group operates Bitcoin-friendly domains including and and revealed that Walsh spent more than 20 years at William Hill in a variety of senior management positions but has now relocated to its headquarters in Estonia.

“I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Richard to The Coingaming [Group] team,” read a statement from Tim Heath, Chief Executive Officer for Tallinn-based The Coingaming Group, which employs over 100 people at its offices in the Ukraine, Estonia, the Netherlands and the Philippines. “We have grown as a company extremely quickly so it is critically important that we put a world-class executive team in place to ensure this development can be sustained. Richard is an industry veteran who has worked for one of the most successful brands in gaming. His experience will be vital in taking [The] Coingaming [Group] to the next level.”

The Coingaming Group explained that Walsh, who has become the company’s third major appointment following Christopher Uren’s hiring as the firm’s Sportsbook Director and the selection of Dominic Bourke as its Casino Director, is to oversee its overall operations including the imminent launch of a new eSports-focused brand and report directly to Heath.
