A new information center will be opening in the downtown area of Schenectady, New York along State Street this spring as part of a new casino construction of the Rivers Casino at Mohawk Harbor. Rush Street Gaming plans on opening the center before construction begins on their new $300 million casino project. Rivers Casino will be located along the waterfront of the Mohawk River and the Eerie Canal.
The operator, Rush Street, is based in Chicago and will be moving into office space of the Center City building which is owned by the Galesi Group. The Galesi Group is developing the Rivers Casino as part of their broader involvement in properties at Mohawk Harbor covering 60 acres of mixed use development.
The casino construction will begin as soon as final approval is given by the state Gaming Commission. The casino would consist of 50,000 of gaming space with 1,150 slot machines and 66 table games. The construction will also include a hotel with 150 guest rooms and parking garage next door.
