We were reviewing Talarius Ltd games today at Quicksilver and ran across some exclusive games there. Some of the games were familiar and we even ran across a few from a company called Next Generation Gaming. It didn’t take too much research to find out that this was simply a previous name of NextGen Gaming with a different logo. For those that haven’t kept up, and it is a chore, NextGen is now part of the NYX Gaming Group.
Some of the Quicksilver games were familiar for other reasons. The splash screen that came up for a split second while the games loaded displayed a logo of a dog with a rocket, and the words, “Dynamite Games”.
Dynamite is always an explosive subject, but even more so these days while we await some sort of regulatory response to find out if Finsoft rigged casino games. A company called, “Dynamite Idea” is a sibling to Lottomatica/Gtech/SpieloG2’s Finsoft Ltd.
Does anybody know if Dynamite Idea (Dynamite Design and Marketing Limited) is in any way related to Dynamite Games Pty Limited of Australia? Dynamite Idea was founded in 1995 by Simon Caddy and now is ultimately owned by Lottomatica. Dynamite Games Pty Limited of Sydney, NSW established their studios in 2002 and is “…an independent developer of gaming products…”. It would be interesting to know if there is any connection other than the word, “Dynamite” and the fact they both develop casino games for the online market.
One of the most interesting things we learned about Dynamite Games today is that they are the developers of many RealTime Gaming (RTG) video slots and other games. They are also the developers of at least one NuWorks Gaming jackpot slots. (We suspect they developed all of the NuWorks games) The ‘oldest’ RTG slots game shown on the Dynamite Games website is Achilles and if memory serves correctly that game was released in the early 2000’s. Google records a first mention of the Achilles slots game in 2002, so it is probably safe to assume that it is the first Dynamite Games slot delivered over an RTG casino.
This is rather eye opening news for us, as we always try to attribute a game to the original developer. Does RTG actually develop any games? Have they ever? Is RTG now to be relegated to a platform directory rather than be known as a games developer? Now the arduous task of determining who makes RTG table games begins. Some players are aware that JackpotParty Casino uses RTG table games along with WMS online slots (WMS is Williams Gaming, now owned by Scientific Games Corp).
If anyone has qualified information about any of this we would be more than happy to print it. Sometimes it is hard to draw the line between “archivist” and “archeologist” because so much information is not readily available. We appreciate any info we can get that will help our readers make informed choices and enjoy their gaming experience more.
