Union Gaming Securities Asia has announced that a new satellite casino will be coming to Cotai within the Macau Roosevelt Hotel. The hotel is going to open soon and will reportedly offer casino gaming with a focus on table games for Cotai visitors.
The venue will be known as the Macau Jockey Club Casino and the news first came light after a new exterior sign was placed on the outside of the hotel in regards to the new gaming venue. In the past, rumors had circulated that the new five-star hotel would be home to a gaming venue. Paradise Entertainment Limited (SEHK: 1180), already operates three satellite casinos, one of which is the Casino Macau Jockey Club, located in the Macau Jockey Club. The new casino is said to be located on the same parcel of land.
As of January 2017, the company reportedly changed their casino management services to a revenue sharing agreement on their LT Game stadium ETGs which indicated that the license could be moved instead of having to obtain a new license, according to Grant Govertsen, an analyst of Union Gaming.
The Roosevelt hotel casino should be larger than the Casino Macau Jockey Club and have a focus on table games. According to Govertsen, the venue could have as many as 25 to 35 table games and around 100 slot machines. Union Gaming also stated they would not be surprised if the new casino has a niche that is not currently offered by satellite casinos. The brokerage firm stated that the venue could have a unique junket focus or target customers in a particular niche that is currently unaddressed.
The Macau Roosevelt hotel is a little behind schedule as it was anticipating a 2016 opening. The Macau venue will have 350 hotel guest rooms plus a high-end residential section once fully operational.
