Six days remain until the construction process is complete on the Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort. Located in Mississippi, the $290 million project has a ribbon cutting scheduled tentatively for 11 a.m. on December 9th. The construction company, Roy Anderson Corp, plans on turning the casino over next week with several aspects already completed. The miniature golf course, hotel rooms and restaurants are complete.
To visit the miniature golf course, casino visitors can park underneath the casino or in parking lots close to the Lava Links. A tour of the actual casino debuts the grandeur of the design. Tall columns and a circular theme can be seen throughout with each public space being located on one floor. The casino game floor is a wide open space that includes a poker room and restaurant dining on the sides.
Beautiful chandeliers have been added, created with unique coloring and crystal. The flooring consists of marble and carpet with patterns to meet the circle theme. The venue includes The Strand events center which is located next to the PRL bar. The bar has a stage that can be used for entertainment plus a Waterfront Buffet for dining. Guests of the buffet can enjoy views of the Biloxi casinos as well as the Back Bay.
On the gaming floor, the new casino will have the best selection of slot machines with unique features. Slot handles will light up green, blue and red, setting an exciting tone to game play. Game selection includes the Flintstones, Duck Dynasty, Brittany Spears and Elvis. The casino will have players club, an option that can already be signed up for. Early signups can pick up their players club card at the main office or sign up on opening day. The casino will have a large player reward desk with extra staff to ensure everyone is able to get signed up.
While the casino prepares for the tentative opening, over 1,500 employees are continuing to train. Openings for positions are still posted on the website of the company. The hotel is being prepared for guests, with each of the 300 guest rooms getting the finishing touches. Luxury accommodations are available at the casino with 56 suites and 10 penthouse suites.
A highlight of the property is the Lava Links mini golf course. The unique course has 36 holes and is lighted, located north of the Scarlet Pearl Casino. Players begin game play by walking through the volcano to get a club and ball. The volcano erupts lava, with the course having unique features as players make their way along 18 holes or the full 36 hole course.
