Scientific Games Corporation and the Oneida Indian Nation have partnered together to launch sports betting services in New York State. Two casinos of the tribe will be offering a sportsbook with Scientific providing their OpenSports product suite.

Sports Betting Services:

Oneida owns and operates the Turning Stone Resort and the Point Place Casino. Both venues will now offer end-to-end retail sports betting services with over the counter wagering options and in-venue screen solutions. In the next few weeks, both casinos will also be offering self-service terminals for wagering.

The sportsbook will be operating as a Caesars brand and the technology that will be used will re-imagine the experience of sports betting for players visiting the properties. Oneida will be building a new venue to provide a dedicated space for sports bettors.

Ray Halbritter, Oneida Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises CEO, commented on the new partnership as well, stating the tribe is excited to be among the first to provide sports betting in the state of New York. They are confident that they have the ability to grow the market in the coming months and years ahead.

Once the sportsbook opens and it is legally permitted, the Oneida Indian Nation will begin working with Scientific Games to launch mobile sports betting.

Oneida and Caesars Partnership:

The partnership between Oneida and Caesars Entertainment was announced in mid-July. The agreement saw the Turning Stone and Point Place Casino launching sports betting services first. By September, the sports betting partnership between the two will be featured at the Yellow Brick Road Casino.

Under the settlement agreement, the tribe will provide annual payments to New York State and the surrounding communities that will total around $60 million.
