Global gambling products and services giant Scientific Games Corporation has announced that it has appointed experienced executive Shawn Dennis to serve as its new Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer.

Las Vegas-based Scientific Games Corporation described Dennis as a ‘25-year veteran of [the] entertainment, consumer products and sports marketing industries’ and stated that she will now work to ‘elevate’ its position around the world by ‘promoting its powerful, integrated brands’ while additionally ‘increasing engagement with customers and players’ for its gaming, interactive and lottery content and technologies.

The news comes less than two weeks after the Nevada firm agreed a deal to purchase NYX Gaming Group Limited.  The company explained that Dennis is to report directly to Kevin Sheehan, Chief Executive Officer and President for Scientific Games Corporation.

Joining from DreamWorks Animation SKG Incorporated where she served as Global Brand and Franchise Development Head, Dennis has moreover worked as Chief Marketing Officer for Mattel Incorporated’s American Girl Company as well as Dell Incorporated and the National Football League. Scientific Games Corporation declared that she is to additionally utilize her brand franchise experience to ‘capitalize on the incredibly exciting James Bond Experience across its portfolio of omni-channel products’.

Sheehan proclaimed that he was ‘excited’ to welcome Dennis to the executive ranks of Scientific Games Corporation before asserting that she was ‘perfectly suited’ to lead its marketing efforts ‘to enhance consumer and customer engagement, drive top-line revenue growth and catapult the company’s next phase of growth’.
