Global lottery and gaming products and services innovator Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS) walked away from last week’s ICE Totally Gaming exhibition in London having been awarded the Lottery Supplier Of The Year accolade for a third consecutive year.
ICE Totally Gaming has a reputation for being one of the world’s largest reoccurring betting, lottery and gaming industry shows and Las Vegas-based Scientific Games Corporation took home the prize from the exhibition’s Gaming Intelligence Awards after previously bagging the accolade in 2015 and 2016.
“No other company rivals Scientific Games Corporation in the lottery supplier space,” read a summary from the Gaming Intelligence Awards. “On the interactive side of things, it has put blue space between itself and the likes of International Game Technology and Intralot. For the third year in a row, Scientific Games Corporation is the clear winner.”
Scientific Games Corporation revealed that it provides games, technology and services to more than 150 lotteries around the world including nearly every North American lottery and it finished atop rivals such as Instant Win Gaming Limited, Intralot, NeoGames and International Game Technology in scooping the Lottery Supplier Of The Year prize at this year’s ICE Totally Gaming.
“On behalf of Scientific Games Corporation and our entire lottery team who diligently keeps its focus on our customers each and every day, we are honored to once again be recognized as Lottery Supplier Of The Year,” said Jim Kennedy, Lottery Chief Executive Officer for Scientific Games Corporation. “We will continue to work hard, demonstrate integrity and thought leadership and earn the trust of lottery operators around the world. We are committed to help lotteries in their business mission to responsibly grow returns to beneficiaries today and in the future.”
In related news, Scientific Games Corporation announced that it has additionally extended by three years its contract to provide the Missouri Lottery and the operator’s associated website with a range of instant games.
“We’ve worked hard alongside the Missouri Lottery as it has built an incredibly loyal fan base by continually evolving its brand and its game offering,” said John Schulz, Instant Products Senior Vice President for Scientific Games Corporation. “This contract extension represents the Missouri Lottery’s confidence in our products and services to help the Missouri Lottery provide further growth in the years ahead. We are excited to continue the great work we have delivered with our instant game products and full loyalty program to help drive profits for the state of Missouri.”
Scientific Games Corporation declared that the popularity of its instant games with Missouri Lottery players has grown by 25% over the past five years due to the attractiveness of titles including $300,000,000 Golden Ticket, $100 Million Cash Bonanza and 50X The Cash. It also stated that 2011 saw it help to develop the operator’s website and 228,000-strong My Lottery Players Club loyalty program, which has since delivered 186 million tickets with more than 309,000 prizes redeemed.
“Our lottery generates funds to provide educational opportunities for Missouri students, support Missouri businesses and entertain millions,” said May Scheve Reardon, Executive Director for the Missouri Lottery. “The instant games created by Scientific Games Corporation help us ensure continued growth in profits to the state of Missouri. We are confident that our My Lottery Players Club developed by Scientific Games Corporation has contributed to our success in recent years and we look forward to building upon the popularity of our players club.”
