The ASEAN Gaming Summit will kick off at the Conrad Manila in the Philippines for three days starting 20 March 2018. This marks the second year of the important industry event organized by Asia Gaming Brief, an independent news network focused on the gambling industry online and on land. The event will focus primarily on Tech trends, convergence, strategy, and return on investment in Southeast Asia.

While heavily attended by C-level executives, the event is also a good gathering place for anyone in the industry that wants to learn more about changes and developments in the region from the new era of integrated resort development and the premium mass market to online gaming and sports betting breakthrough in data and tech.

The first two days are devoted to conferencing and feature well-known speakers including Andrea Domingo, chairman, and CEO at Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR) who will deliver the keynote address. Day three is devoted to in-depth education and information with three separate components – an IMGL (International Masters of Gaming Law) Masterclass, a focus on Online Security & Fraud Prevention by Continent 8, and a Digital Marketing Masterclass that will focus on the differences in affiliate marketing in Asia and Europe.

The land-based industry will be examined in detail by about forty prominent speakers including Lu Hou Tsai who will address luxury spending and VIP gaming trends of premium Chinese players. Stephen Reilly, COO at Resorts World Manila, will participate in a keynote panel focused on keeping up momentum in Entertainment City. Reilly will be joined by Kevin Benning, Vice President of Gaming Operations at City of Dreams Manila among many other notable figures. Macau-based MdME Lawyers partner, Rui Pinto, will head up the IMGL Masterclass. Readers can find the complete roster here.

The contingent of online industry speakers is just as robust and includes a full range of presenters including legal experts such as Susan O’Leary, a lawyer, and CEO of Alderney eGambling; Tony Plaskow, now Commercial Director at Black Cow Technologies and 1999 founder of the first sportsbook aggregator site, www.easyodds.com. Among the thirty online industry experts, delegates will get a chance to hear from the Director at Shenzhen Innovation Lab, David Li who will make a presentation on digital disruptors and tomorrow’s technology, among many others.

The inaugural event last March was seen by delegates as a major success with this year’s event sure to build on that success. Last year over 300 participants from 24 different countries engaged in the dissemination and consumption of valuable information about Asia’s land-based and online gaming industry.
