On Friday, Caesars Entertainment announced that seven of their gaming properties in Las Vegas will begin paid self-parking for visiting locals on November 2nd. 

According to News3lv, Caesars Entertainment stated that the parking pricing structure changes were made to improve parking for guests as well as for Total Rewards loyalty members who want to stay and play at their properties.

Beginning on the 2nd, seven venues of Caesars Entertainment will begin to charge Nevada residents to park. These venues include:

Individuals who visit the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will not have to pay for parking. Total Rewards members who have a Platinum rating or higher will also be able to park for free. For now, parking at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino Miracle Mile Shops will also be free.

Executive Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications, Richard Broome, stated that the company had noticed an increase in people using their properties to park only. Because of this, the self-parking availability for customers of the venues was limited. The goal is to offer more parking for actual customers of the Caesars properties.

Guests of the Caesars Entertainment properties will receive free parking for the first hour. For one to four hours, locals will need to pay $10 for Caesars Palace, $7 for Paris, Bally’s, The Cromwell, Flamingo, The LINQ and Harrah’s. For a four to 24-hour time frame, Caesars will charge $12 while the remaining venues will charge $10.

The change will not affect valet rates. Registered hotel guests of the Caesars properties will be charged a self-parking fee which provides in-and-out access to the self-parking facility. The room key will be used to access the self-parking facilities at Caesars Entertainment properties.

The discussion of parking has been ongoing since last year when Caesars announced parking perks were set to end, in both valet and self-parking.
