Online gambling developers often showcase new games, with slots and table game titles coming out on a regular basis to provide operators and players something new and exciting. This week, we learned that online casino platform provider SkillOnNet is introducing a new player feature. It’s nice to see a new option in the gaming world, with the Hot or Cold feature helping players to determine if a title is producing wins or straight losses.
Coming to PlayOJO
Hot or Cold by SkillOnNet is coming to online casino PlayOJO this week and soon after, will launch network-wide. The new feature allows players to determine which games are experiencing losing streaks and which ones are on fire with wins. The information shows how much a game pays out over an hour’s time frame and takes the guesswork out of deciding on titles to play.
Games that are considered Hot will have a flaming red symbol on them. Games that are cold will have a blue ice symbol. SkillOnNet developed this new feature in-house to increase retention and drive engagement from players. The idea is similar to land-based gaming and if a slot or table game has paid out big or is about to.
SkillOnNet’s Michael Golembo commented on the new feature by stating: “Hot or Cold is another great innovation from the team and we are thrilled to be launching it at our flagship PlayOJO brand. Players no longer have to rely on intuition alone to see if a game has been paying out or not.”
Advertising Push
The Hot or Cold feature launch via PlayOJO is being pushed by an advertising campaign. Ads will be placed on television, social media channels and digital options. Players in the United Kingdom can already view the television campaign and radio ads are soon to follow. Local and national press coverage will also be provided.
SkillOnNet has plans to get the word out so that online gamblers can take advantage of this new feature. After it debuts at PlayOJO, the provider will at it to all the casinos within its network. This will include GentingCasino, EU Casino, Metal Casino, SpinGenie, and more.
Additional advertising campaigns will be released in the coming weeks. Plans are to launch ads in Spain via PlayUZU and in Portugal with the help of BacanaPlay. It will be interesting to see if the feature pulls players towards specific games based on the Hot or Cold rating provided by SkillOnNet.
