In a recent press release, the Ramada Plaza Jeju Hotel announced their casino gaming venue is now reopened after months of renovations. Located on the island of Jeju in South Korea, the casino is open to foreigners only and has named June 26th as the day for the official grand opening. Previously known as the Ramada Plaza Jeju Casino, the facility will now go by the name Gongzi Jeju.

According to the press release, the gaming venue has been revamped within the interior design by Wester Architects International Ltd. An additional 40,000 square feet of space was added to the casino which will house slot machines and gaming tables. The number of slot machines is not known while there will be more than 40 table games on offer.

The new interior design of the casino is based on a floral theme which takes the colors red, white and gold and creates and impressive background to the gaming floor. Included in the new design are butterfly paintings.

The hotel is convenient to the Jeju International Airport and Jeju Port, being only five minutes away, which should lead to solid traffic flow for the casino venue. The Ramada has been in operation since the summer of 2003 and offer 400 guest rooms. The Gongzei Jeju facility will now join several casinos located on Jeju Island that are open to foreigners only. The region has recently attracted several projects related to gaming by new investors.
