As part of its continuing expansion into the American market and sports data intelligence specialist Sportradar AG has announced the inking of a new data and content partnership with domestic sports broadcaster NBC Sports Regional Networks.
The Swiss firm used an official Thursday press release to declare that the fresh arrangement builds upon an existing relationship that has seen it supply NBC Sports Regional Networks with regular ‘betting data and content’ including a recent ‘alternative betting broadcast’ for the April 22 contest between the Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets franchises of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Sportradar AG stated that this latest alliance is destined to see it enhance the cable broadcaster’s ‘live-game coverage’ via the provision from its broadcast services unit of ‘a comprehensive suite of solutions and offerings’. As such and the company pronounced that NBC Sports Regional Networks will now be able to utilize its own ‘live data interface’ in order to supply viewers with ‘faster data updates on-screen’ along with ‘richer and more captivating graphics to complement live game action.’
Brian Josephs serves as Digital Sport Vice-President for Sportradar AG and he used the press release to proclaim that NBC Sports Regional Networks is to moreover be able to benefit from the use of his firm’s ‘experience with specialized league data’ so as ‘to track deeper and more insightful storylines throughout the course of a game.’ By combining these with the MLB Statcast and NBA Advanced Stats innovations, he asserted that the broadcaster will be provided with a way ‘to drive more personalized storytelling based on the market and specific fan interests.’
