Several groups will be represented during the conference including sports betting providers, casino operators, regulators and lawmakers, North American sports leagues as well as international sports governing bodies, licensed sports books, lotteries, Native American tribes, television networks and sports media plus race tracks.
The new event has several sponsors, including NYX Gaming Group, Sporting Solutions, SBTech, BetConstruct, IGT and Intralot. During the two-day conference, topics will include the discussion of repealing PASPA as well as authorizing sports betting in the United States. Momentum surrounds this issues based on the developments in New Jersey as they challenge the PASPA and several other states have made legislative efforts to be ready to offer sports betting if the federal law is overruled.
The full agenda of the event has yet to be released, but the Sports Betting USA site lists several speakers who will be in attendance. Key topics will include sports betting today and how it can be brought out of the legal shadows, as well as the market evolution since PASPA, discussing how stakeholders’ views, the public opinion, sports technology and integrity have evolved since the federal law passage in 1992.
Sports Betting USA will take place at the Convene Conference Center, which is located in Midtown West, New York, New York.
