Celebrating 32 years in business, the Sycuan Casino has planned several events to commemorate the occasion.  The festivities will begin today at 8 a.m. with visitors able to participate in a coffee mug and T-shirt giveaway.

Beginning at 10 a.m., players will be given free cupcakes and by 5 p.m., the casino will be hosting a cash giveaway with $32,000 up for grabs. By 6 p.m., the casino will finish the party with a gigantic cake, with a cutting ceremony which will include bird singers and dancers, traditional to the Native American culture. Throughout today, patrons will be able to enjoy live music as they play the many casino games featured on the property.

It was back in 1983 that the Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Nation founded the gambling facility, beginning as the Bingo Palace near El Cajon in the East County San Diego area. Fast forward to 2012 and the casino began a large renovation. Today, the Sycuan Casino offers 2,000 slot and reel machines plus over 40 gaming tables. Several restaurants are located on the property with the addition of a room dedicated for non-smokers that includes over 350 slot games and table games. The property also features an entertainment venue which provides a space for comedians and musicians to perform.

For the entire month, the casino will be celebrating their 32nd anniversary with special giveaways worth $500,000 in total. Visitors can enjoy dining specials at the Wachena café which is currently providing the Two for $32 Special which includes a shrimp cocktail for two, two steaks and salad.
