Bloomberry Resorts Corp.’s Solaire Resort and Casino, located in Philippines, celebrates its 10th anniversary on March 16th.
After a few tough years, when the casino was hit by the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the last year has been very successful.
The resort rose from the ashes:
Back in 2013, the opening of this integrated resort was a big fuss. Even the former President, Benigno Aquino III, graced the event with its presence. Back then, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp’s resort Entertainment city was at the beginning. Since then, the place has become very popular among tourists. Solaire is also very popular, and it seems that that popularity has increased even more over the last few weeks. Last January, the record was broken, and the number of visitors reached its maximum. Revenues were also huge: the gross income that the casino earned was Php 6.8 billion (US $124 million) during one month.
The officials claimed: “We saw that record even without a significant presence of mainland Chinese gamblers and junket operations. All that came from the local market, plus some Korean players based in the Philippines.”
However, it seems 2024 began in good spirits: Solaire Resort North in Quezon City is almost finished, and the expectations for the property are huge. It’s situated near Vertis North Development, which belongs to the Ayala Land. The grand opening is scheduled for the very beginning of the following year if everything goes smoothly.
Bloomberry Resorts announced that the revenues have fully recovered from the pandemic. A significant increase has been recorded in the fourth quarter of 2022, which led to a significant increase of 84% compared to the previous year. The resort earned Php14.7 billion (US$267 million).
The month of festivities:
It’s not the only thing that deserves celebration: the 10th-year anniversary calls for grand festivities and events that will be held in the casino. David Froster, a famous American composer and artist who won a Grammy 16 times, will be a guest in the casino. He will be there for a week, participating in the festivities that are reminiscent of ones from Las Vegas. This weekend, on March 17th and 18th, Sting will perform at two concerts, which are already sold out. The shows will be held at Solaire’s Theatre.
In addition, the anniversary cuisine will be available in all the resort’s restaurants. However, a special treat awaits in “Gastronomic Indulgence,” one of five restaurants at Solaire. Ten Michelin-star chefs will come to the restaurant to help celebrate the anniversary, so all the visitors will surely be satisfied with the choice of food, and every need will be fulfilled.
The whole month will be dedicated to the celebration.
