After working with The Star Sydney since 2011, Damian Quayle has now been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Quayle began his career within the venue five years ago with vast experience in the gaming and hospitality industries, with a comprehensive understanding of mass gaming as well as VIP markets across Australia and Asia. As the new Chief Operating Officer, Quayle will now oversee the strategic development of gaming for the premier entertainment destination of Sydney.
Mr. Quayle took on this position earlier this month and will be the head of Table Games, Gaming Machines and Gaming Product as well as Strategy Teams to help deliver sustained growth for the casino. Mr. Quayle takes on this role after working as the General Manager of Table Games, where he was able to lead a high performance team, implementing new operational procedures to help build the gaming side of operations.
The Star Sydney Managing Director, Greg Hawkins, commented on the new position by Quayle by stating that the appointment of COO for Mr. Quayle further highlights the commitment of The Star to deliver the very best gaming experience at the only integrated resort in Sydney. With the position, Mr. Quayle will be able to further enhance the gaming destination by leading his team. Hawkins is confident that Quayle will be able to increase the gaming division profitability and add more value for shareholders.
The new COO of Gaming, Damian Quayle, commented on receiving the new position by stating that he is delighted to have been appointed the new role at The Star Sydney. Quayle looks forward to further developing gaming operations at the venue and cementing the already strong position of the property as a global leader in entertainment.
Mr. Quayle has held several positions within the gambling industry including working with Wynn Macau as the Manager of Table Games Operation and the City of Dreams Macau as the Director of Gaming Administration.
