The 2017 Aussie Millions Poker Championships are now scheduled, with event organizers announcing tour dates. PokerStars has partnered with the Aussie Millions for the Main Event once again and over 20 gold ring events are on the schedule. The 2016 Aussie Millions has yet to end and tournament organizers are still getting the jump on the 2017 schedule. There are only a few days of action left on the 2016 schedule.
In 2017, the Aussie Millions will actually be celebrating their 20th anniversary in operation, with the Crown Melbourne hosting the event. The festival will be set to take place from the 11th to the 30th of January. PokerStars has agreed to partner with the Aussie Millions for a third year running, with the Main Event set to be part of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour of PokerStars.
The Main Event will run from the 22nd to the 29th of January, with the remaining schedule a secret, for now. Speaking with the press, organizers of the Aussie Millions did state that there would be over 20 gold rings given to players during the popular poker festival.
For the 2016 Aussie Millions, there are a total of 24 gold ring events. At least 13 have been given away as of now and events continue in Melbourne. So far, the big winner was Chance Komuth who earned first place in the A$25,000 Challenge, taking home A$790,560 for his efforts.
