Australian Gambling – Malaysia has its first World Series of Poker bracelet winner.

Junzhong Loo won the $2,200 No-Limit Hold’em event on Monday night to claim the second of 10 bracelets being handed out at Crown Casino, Melbourne, during the tournament.

Entering Monday’s play there was 10 players remaining after a health scare to Aik-Chuan Nee forced the early close of play on Sunday.

Fred Chaptini was eliminated on the bubble when his pocket Aces were beaten by Nee’s pocket 8s.

This left the final table and play went on for around two hours before Michael O’Grady, Feng Zhou and Sam Ruha were eliminated in three successive hands.

Soon after Samuel Ngai was knocked out, which left five players fighting it out for $107,500 and the gold bracelet.
