Last week, USFantasy announced new locations where punters in Nevada can place wagers on a pari-mutuel form of fantasy sports betting, unique to the brand.
In the beginning, as the NFL season began, USFantasy was only involved with three sportsbooks. The process of signing on with sportsbooks as well as being approved by state regulators was slower than had been anticipated which meant it would take time before the company would be full speed ahead of gaming operations.
Over the next few weeks, the company expects to be involved with more than sixty sportsbooks. The brand currently offers services at such venues as Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, Caesars Palace, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, Palace Station Hotel & Casino, Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino and many more.
USFantasy makes it easy for land based gaming venues to become involved in daily fantasy sports. The gaming industry has shown interest in the option and USFantasy responded, offering a different product than online DFS operators FanDuel and DraftKings. With standard DFS, users will choose a roster of players based on a salary-cap model. With USFantasy, pools of players are created for different positions such as quarterback or running back. A gambler will then visit a sportsbooks, choose players as they would in a horse race.
Players decide on a win, place or show based on the odds, much like if a horse racing wager were to be placed. If a chosen player is able to earn the most fantasy points based on the scoring system of USFantasy, then money is earned. Wagers similar to horse racing are provided including daily doubles and exactas.
