The new owner of The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada is now making good on a promise to invest in the property. Apollo Funds plans to spend around $1 billion to refresh the property, according to CEO Patrick Nichols.

The CEO recently spoke to Travel and Leisure, stating that the company wants to elevate the guest experience with the investment. In the interview, Nichols said that all experiences will different, from arrival to dining, entertainment, and nightlife.

Many Changes Coming to The Venetian

The $1 billion budget will be stretched a long way to revitalize the Las Vegas property. The plans include renovating and remodeling all suites with a complete redesign. New food and beverage options, bar options, nightlife, and entertainment will be added. The casino plans to change up the gaming floor to so that players will have an even better experience.

All of this will take place in addition to a new pool deck for the Venetian as well as a TAO Beach Dayclub. The club will cost $50 million to create and is being created in partnership with the TAO Group.

To be able to reach the goals for revamping The Venetian, the property is working with RIOS, a design collective in Los Angeles. While major changes will take place, the Nevada casino will maintain its theme and lean into more of the spirit of Italy in its design.

Nichols stated that construction walls are already up at The Palazzo where changes are already underway. New dining options will be going up in these areas.

New MSG Sphere In The Works

On top of all the changes mentioned already, The Venetian is working with Madison Square Garden Entertainment to create the MSG Sphere. This project will cost $1.85 billion to create and will hopefully open in time for the FIA Formula One world championship race in November of next year.

The track will be one of the largest structures in a sphere shape in the world and will house 20,000 guests. The property will include an immersive display that is 160,000 square feet in size. Nichols that the new venue will be a huge asset for the Venetian as guests will be able to walk from the resort to watch a show or race that track.

It will be interesting to watch as these changes come to life inside The Venetian. The Las Vegas casino is already a top destination for travelers and enhancing the experience is only going to lead to more visitor numbers.
