Popular online casino operator Videoslots.com has been approved for sports betting in Sweden. The Swedish Gambling Authority recently gave the brand a license for operation and it is expected that the new sportsbook will be live in October. Videoslots will use its proprietary platform for the new site.
Working Hard on the New Sportsbook
The new sportsbook project is being led by Martin Calleja, a veteran of the gaming industry. Videoslots.com will use an in-house trading team to reveal gamification features and cross-over products to help the sportsbook appeal to the existing casino player base.
According to Calleja, it is expected that sports betting will be close to normal by October and the fresh sportsbook will provide fans with a way to engage in their favorite sports. He stated further that the brand is in a place right now where they can invest and increase the offering as well as differentiate it.
Calleja said: “We’ve always done very well at engaging with our audience and providing a better user experience than is available elsewhere. As a result, we’re very excited about replicating that in the sportsbook arena.”
New Deal with Apollo Games
Videoslots has been busy this year, with new partnership deals taking place right before this latest Swedish sportsbook announcement. Back in June, the brand announced a new partnership deal with Apollo Games. The deal allows Videoslots to offer more games, including popular titles like Slot Birds and Gangster World.
Videoslots already launched its 4000th game earlier this year, so with the addition of Apollo Games, it means even more great content for players to enjoy.
