British gaming and sportsbetting firm William Hill has signed a two-year deal granting it exclusive permission to operate a sports book inside the home ground of English Championship soccer side Queens Park Rangers (QPR).
The agreement will see William Hill place “numerous betting booths” around the interior of QPR’s 18,400-seat Loftus Road Stadium including in hospitality areas. The agreement also means that supporters of “The Rs” will be able to collect their winnings in cash or via an electronic transfer from any of the operator’s over 2,300 high-street shops.
Established in 1886, London-based QPR has spent much of the last decade bouncing between the top-flight Premier League and the second-tier Championship although it has struggled of late and last season narrowly avoided relegation to the tertiary League One after finishing in 18th spot with 53 points.
“We are delighted to agree a two-year deal with William Hill,” read a statement from Euan Inglis, Commercial Director for QPR. “The enhanced service that will be provided on match days will not only make it much easier for our fans to have a bet should they wish to do so but the various ways they can redeem their winnings is far more straightforward thanks to the numerous options available to supporters,”
