Yesterday, William Hill US announced the launch of its William Hill Sports Book App in Washington D.C. The operator was approved by the D.C. Office of Lottery and Gaming to go ahead with the launch. Players can now access mobile sports betting via the app within a two-block area of the Capital One building. The only exception for betting is that the app is not available inside federal buildings.

Convenient sports betting

With the app, players will be able to access a convenient option for sports betting. The app offers a large selection of markets and betting types including live InPlay and Parlay Cards. Easily use a mobile device to sign up via the secure registration process and deposit funds to begin real money wagering. Apple and Android devices are compatible with the application.

With the launch in D.C., William Hill now offers mobile sports betting via application in eight jurisdictions in the United States. Other areas include Nevada, Colorado, New Jersey, Illinois, West Virginia, Indiana, and Iowa.

Retail Location

Back in August, Hill launched a temporary retail sportsbook at the Capital One Arena. The box office of the space has acted as the sports betting home until the operator finishes construction of a permanent structure. Players have access to self-service kiosks as well as betting windows.

The temporary location will be in place through part of 2021. It is expected that the full-service sportsbook and a restaurant will launch early next year. The new space will provide a first-of-its-kind experience for sports fans at the arena.
