On August 22nd, the WinStar World Casino and Resort will kick off the 2018 River Poker Series. The series is set to be a big hit, offering 11 poker tournaments and several satellite options. Running until September 3rd, players will have plenty of time to take part.
Quality Schedule:
The festival includes several quality tournaments, including the Main Event. With a buy-in of $2,500, the Main Event features a prize pool of $2 million. The event is deep-stacked and will provide players with 25,000 in starting chips. Blinds will increase every 40 minutes during the September 1st and 2nd opening flights.
Players who are able to make it past the starting flights will move on to compete on the 3rd and 4th where 60 minute blind levels will be activated. Game play will continue until the winner is named.

The River Poker Series will also include side events, with buy-ins starting at $230. For the high rollers, buy-ins will go as high as $1,100. This year, the series will offer three additional events, providing players with even more quality gaming options.
Variety of Formats:
Organizers of the poker series have scheduled a nice variety of tournaments for those competing. Event #1 is a Turbo Bounty with a $340 buy-in while Event #2 is a NLHE Monster Stack event, with a $450 buy-in. The schedule continues with PLO events, Super Turbo Bounties, Deep Stacks, Turbo Bounty Survivor and more.
Amateurs as well as professionals are expected to be on-hand to compete in the many tournament events, using their strategy, skill and refined etiquette to hopefully earn a first-place finish. Players must be 18 years of age or older to compete, with a valid ID presented to tournament officials.
