The World Poker Tour is heading to Maryland this week, set to launch the WPT Deepstacks Festival and Championship on March 13th. The poker festival will run through the 23rd, offering players a ton of action over an 11-day time frame. The schedule includes 17 total tournaments with something for amateurs and pros alike.
Main Event:
As with any poker series or festival, poker players look forward to the main event. In Maryland, the Main Event will feature a $1,650 buy-in with a no limit hold’em format. The prize pool is set to offer $300,000 guaranteed. This tournament will begin on March 20th and will have two starting flights.
Players can re-enter the event once per starting flight, which provides a little leeway when needed. The Live! Casino Hotel is hosting the WPT Deepstacks and already offering live qualifiers on-site for the Main Event.
According to the source…
Players can take part in step qualifiers that have a starting buy-in of $50. This is a perfect way to qualify for the Main Event at a much lower buy-in.
Additional WPT Deepstacks Events:
Along with the Main Event, the schedule of the upcoming WPT Deepstacks is offering a ton of additional events. Pot Limit Omaha fans will like the $500 PLO/Big O event, offering a $10,000 prize pool. There will also be a Mini Live Size event with a $250 buy-in and a $50,000 prize pool guaranteed.
Specialized events are also on the schedule including a Ladies Event and a Seniors tournament. The Ladies option will have a buy-in of $240 with a $3,500 guaranteed prize pool. The Seniors event has a slightly higher buy-in of $360 offering $10,000 in prize money.
