Starting on July 2nd, the 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event is in full swing. Players from across the United States and around the world have descended upon the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino to take part in the most anticipated event of the series. The 49th edition of the Main Event has a buy-in of $10,000 with players competing for 12 days in the hopes of being the last one standing.

The Main Event will be covered by ESPN and ESPN2 each day of the Las Vegas tournament, with footage aired on television for fans to keep up with the action. PokerGo will provide streaming coverage online, for fans who want to watch via computer or mobile device.

The poker tournament will run non-stop until the winner is named, something that has not been done in over ten years. In the past, the Main Event would compete down to the final table and then the November Nine would return to the felt in the fall to compete to see who the winner would be. This time around, the final nine will be named on Wednesday evening or in the early hours this Thursday with the event playing down to the winner on Thursday.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday marked Day 1A, 1B and 1C, with players given 50,000 starting chips for their $10,000 buy-in with 2-hour levels in play. Today, players who survived 1A and 1B will return to compete in Day 2A and 2B. Game play continues on Friday with Day 2C for 1C players remaining and then all fields will combine on Saturday as players continue to compete to see who will make the final table.
